HAZARD ANALYSIS


Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); Proper Safety equipment (eye protection, ear protection, gloves, respirator, steel toed boots, properly suited with vest & hard hat (harness in lift)) HAZARDS: Hazard Analysis form

  1. Plural component pump
  2. Shot blaster
  3. Sand blaster
  4. Forklift
  5. Mixing equipment (drills, mixing paddles, generator, extension cords)
  6. Scarifier (to remove pavement markings)
  7. SawZaw
  8. Razor knife
  9. Chalk line
  10. Caulk guns




LABOR FORCE


GROUND CREW – employees who ensure the coater/equipment have everything needed in order to execute proper application. PREP CREW – employees who sandblast and pressure wash prior to application. SPRAY CREW – coaters who apply the product. INSTALL CREW – employees who install protection boards.




BASIC DAILY PLAN


1. Check that all necessary equipment and PPE for proper application PRIOR TO LEAVING FOR SITE. 2. Show up on site ON TIME 3. CONTACT THE SUPERVISOR of job site. Share and understand prep-work, equipment needed and application process. 4. Fill out, go through and sign HAZARD ANALYSIS 5. Fill in the CHECKLIST throughout the entire process (time, temperature and pictures) 6. COMPLETE prep work. 7. COMPLETE product application. 8. REVIEW days work with supervisor and have them sign off.




PROCEDURE


  1. Make sure surface is properly sandblasted, shotblasted and dry.
  2. Make sure area is secure, and the mixer, sprayer and ground crews are properly equipped (PPE) (respirator, latex gloves, safety glasses)
  3. String out plural component hose.
  4. Make sure that all material is heated to manufacturer’s recommendation.
  5. Prime surface.
  6. Within 5 hours, apply finish coat.
  7. Apply polymer coating to manufacturer’s recommendation (80-90 mils)
  8. Ensure technical rep is on site.
  9. Ensure application of product has been properly monitored.
  10. Mil testing on all products that were applied.
  11. Once polymer coating has achieved 90 mils, immediately install protection boards (4x8), cut board, if necessary in some applications 2 layers of protection board.
  12. Clean up all equipment.
  13. Clean up all waste.
